How I Got Over

New day, new time, new place, new people. Nothing familiar. Yes, all of that has happened to me. But I am not alone. Yes, it is different and that cause me to be different, not to assimilate but to understand. And my own woundedness causes me to reflect and wonder- "How I Got Over"- That is an old song we sung when I was little.

All that newness -yet- the same God. That is what I hold to. That is how the song plays out for me. God is indeed a wonder and what ever your 'new' God is still the same God. Just let that stay with you today. It may be in that newness that God has purposed you to grow you, teach you, but in all things- blesses you. enough for now.

The New Journey

The new journey begins. Do not be discouraged by those who try to steer you off track by their strange "well wishes." You see, they don't know your dream, they don't know your path, they may not know your God. So be encouraged each day as each day your new journey begins. enough for now.

What's New?

It was indeed a day of celebration of our risen Savior. Now how are we walking? Is it business as usual? It should no be -it should be something spectacular as you walk in a newness. Look around, what is your newness? What is blooming fresh in you? enough for now.

Good Friday - The New Normal

On Palm Sunday, as we celebrated Jesus' triumphant entry into the city, I want to share a photo. And this week we walked with Jesus - this last week. The disciples did not know what they were about to face. We don't know what we are to face. Many do not realize where they are and what is happening. Oh but God.

The disciples were about to face a new normal. A time without the physical Jesus but a time with a so much stronger Jesus- the new normal. But before they could get to the new normal, they had to go through pain, fear, dread as they witnessed the crime against Jesus, the crucifixion, the death. And this day, their pain.

What are you going through? What new thing is being birthed out of a dead thing? What are you afraid of? Oh, there is nothing that cannot be faced because of Jesus and his work on the cross. You are not alone. You do not walk this alone- because of Jesus. Yes, something is changing. Changes happen; but you can indeed walk your new normal because of Jesus.

Celebrate the love that is yours. God loves you so much that he gave his son to take all your dysfunctional behaviors, your crazy sin issues so that you could walk in peace with your new normal. enough for now. for now.
