Today is What We Have

Yesterday, a lot of graduations were celebrated, weddings were performed, birthdays were celebrated. Today is someone’s birthday. Today is also someone’s day of death. We live between that birth and that death. All we have is today. Celebrate this day. Celebrate the good and the lessons learned. Celebrate the going out and the coming in.

Celebrate your tears and your laughter. Celebrate your family, your friends, your not so friends. There is a reason. Celebrate that you are older, wiser than you were yesterday. If not wiser, then celebrate that you have a chance to learn anew today. Today is what we have. Happy day of life! enough for now.

Look Around

Look around and marvel at what God has done in your life. Look around and see where you have been. Look around and recognize what you have learned. No, it all has not been easy, but it all has been for your good.  As you look around recognize the shoulder on whom you stand. The mothers and fathers, aunts and uncles, grandparents that watched over, praying for you, praying with you. Celebrate that you can do more, go farther than before. And if this is your beginning,if you had no one to cheer you on, you do now. Celebrate your renewal-today.

Happy Mother’s Day to the biological mothers, the aunts and grandmothers, the surrogate mothers.  To those who birthed, to those who raised. Blessing of joy and peace and celebration of who you are. enough for now

Stand and Watch

Stand still. We move too much. We get too busy that we miss us, we miss God. Everything gets to twirling around and we think we can get it all done-but stressed out about it. Stand still. Shift your focus from what you think you have to do to what God is doing in your life. Watch - watch what happens when you let go. enough for for now.
