Your Turns

The journey has so many turns and stops. Realize which stop is yours and what you are to learn. Be clear that you are not taking someone else’s turn. How can you do that? Listen to Holy Spirit. enough for now.

Walking in Authority

I think too often we miss the authority we have as believers. We have the right to say no to anything that gets us off course of what God has for us. Let that sink in. How do we get on course? By trading our will for God’s will. And then walking in that. Go ahead, try it today “Not my will, your will Lord.” enough for now.

Not without Effort

“Once you are born of the Spirit, that is your Life’s breath. You must never doubt, never worry, but step by step, the way to freedom must be trodden. See that you walk it with Me. This mean no worry,no anxiety, but it does not mean no effort” (God Calling, April 24).

I’m going set that right there. Stay with that. Let it permeate your mind, your heart, your spirit. “Not without effort.” enough for now.

The Joy

Our patient, gentle, loving obedience brings joy to God’s heart (God Calling). Wow, to obey him brings joy. To obey him brings us joy and peace. Want some peace? enough for now.

Run On

I just watched on fb a little girl running in a race. She was not in the starting group. She was one of the smaller ones. But she passed everyone and gained an incredible lead. She never looked back, nor to the side.

What can we get from this? This is your race and you run it alone, not against, alone. Run to the best of your ability. Run on. enough for now.

The Calm

The calm, the calm before the storm. We like calm, but many times it is just before a storm. I think if we cherish the peace over the calm, then when the storm happens we can hold on. Watch for what is happening today. Is it calm? Take care, a storm may be brewing. Do you have peace? Then you can weather any storm. Desire the peace. The peace in spite of any storm, any calamity, any dismay. The peace that comes from God. The peace will keep you in the storm. enough for now.

Hold On

Too often we are so busy trying to let go of crazy stuff that we forget to hold on to lessons learned. Hold on to what we have gotten from the experience. Hold on to our sanity coming out of crazy. Hold on to our peace in the midst of crazy. Hold on to what God says. How do we know what to hold on to? Listen to Holy Spirit. Follow the guide and watch what happens.enough for now.

Store Up the Words

Store up the words. The words you read in the Word, “Your word I have hidden in my heart that I may not sin against you” (Ps. 119:11). The guidance you hear from Holy Spirit as our paraclete. The truth of God’s love, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life’s” (John 3:16). Store up the words.

Store them up for when you need the Truth of them. Words from your friends may be helpful-or hurtful, but God’s truth will sustain. enough for now.

The Steadiness of the Silence

I have been observing more the ways God moves in my quiet. God is always moving, be sure. There is something about watching what is happening. So many are afraid of the silence. But you really can hear more. Examine the fear to let it go, and then watch. Watch what is made so plain- in the silence. Feel the peace- in the silence. There is balance - if you are ready. enough for now.

Reveals

It has been a revealing week. I listened to a few of my clients and they recognized new strengths. I listened to friends and they had experienced new hurts. I watched family grow out of stuf an into newness. I listened to others and recognized where their particular hurts were. And though disappointments I recognized more of my strengths and my weaknesses. Oh its been a revealing week.

Through it all, I learned to handle disappointments differently than I once did. That’s growth. I think if we were to get still, and listen as Holy Spirit reveals, then we can grow past pettiness, past frivolous - meaningless mess. You see, sometimes the mess is there only to distract us from the good that awaits. What what is revealed, what is uncovered; and then check with Holy Spirit what do with it. Take time this week. Be still, and hear what Holy Spirit is saying. enough for now.

Rest

It is hard to rest when so many things are twirling about demanding your time. But this rest is not like any other. It is a rest that holds you in perfect peace with God. It is a rest that lets the silly little disturbances roll off your back. It is a rest that can only be realized by being in the presence- by abiding in the love of Jesus. Go ahead, I know you need some rest. I know I do. Take your rest in him and watch what happens. enough for now.
