Calm Yourself

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me” John 14:1 NRSV 

We usually hear this at funerals, and we miss the great significance of the passage. Don’t let your heart be troubled -period. Don’t get yourself all upset about anything. God handles it all. God is our way. No worries, no troubling of the heart, the mind. Trust that God can do it. Trust that God will do it. Believe that, and rest your heart. enough for now

Tell It

“But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such as these to worship him. 24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth” (John 4:23-24 NRSV).

Go back and read John 4:1-26, then read 26-38, 39-42. See the progression of the woman at the well and what her belief did. She met Jesus, heard him, received him, and then went to tell others about him, in spite of her own issues. She shared his truth and many believed. God seeks true worshippers, and the time is now. We all have our story to tell. We tell it in spite of where we are, how we are, who we are. We tell it because of whose we are. Blessings as your receive his more for you. more later
