“They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?””
This is the on Emmaus Road after the resurrection. Go back and read 13-32. It is amazing that the disciples didn’t know who Jesus was. This passage shows us they had a clue, but they didn’t know while he walked and talked with them. They didn’t know until after they invited him in and when they saw him break bread and blessed it.
How could they not have known who Jesus was? But they had a clue. We have to open our eyes to the moment and we must invite him in. Not just one time but every time. The more we invite him in, the more we see, the more we know. We have a clue, but we need more.
Yesterday we went to an Escape room. Wow! It was difficult and we needed help with the clues. Life is difficult, and we need help with the clues. enough for now.
