He Will

 Matthew 5:7-9  NRSV

7 “Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy. 

8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. 

9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

When I was a union rep we paid close attention to “shall” and “will”.  “Shall” may or may not happen. “Will” is binding. Hold that. And then remember that the blessings are here and now and in the future. We will experience God in the sacred space here and will experience in the sacred place. 

We work toward releasing any negativity that keeps us from experiencing God’s blessings. We don’t work toward getting in his presence. It doesn’t work that way, but we work toward following, listening, being guided by him and we find ourselves in that space. He will do what he promised he will do. Read your contract! enough for now.
