Make a List

Make a list. How are you doing with keeping up with everything you need to do? Do you get everything done? I offer that at any age you may need assistance. After all, you make a list when you go to the store, don't you? It is quite okay to jot down your assignments for the week, day. You can do months later, let's just get started.

I have a note tablet by my laptop. I jot down the writing, creating assignments I need to get done - period. I don't place them in order but work as I need. At the end of the day I find much has been crossed off and it carries to the next day. At the end of the day I am not in a tizzie about what didn't happen. Making a list frees my mind of those little twirly things that distract. It helps to see my progress, and to thank God for getting the work done. I am able to think on more positive, pleasant things. . . More things of God. And that is healthy and peaceful.

Years ago when I bought my house there were so many things I wanted to do. My sister told me that I could not it all at once. She was right. I made a list and kept it on the side of my refrigerator. As I accomplished one thing I wrote the date and thanked the Lord. As I needed to add to the list I did. But the things I was able to cross off were huge.

Make a list, thank God. It works hand in hand.  Let's talk journaling another time. enough for now.

Listen Anew

I think sometimes we miss what others are saying, because we are listening through our distorted filters. Yes, it happens. And others miss what we are saying because of the same reason. I offer- allow yourself a moment to filter through what God is saying to you. Just listen before speaking so quickly. The enemy is the author of confusion, and does it rather well. Don't you agree?

Think about how many lies in your life you have believed -only to your detriment. Yeah, crazy right? The sad part is that you believed them to be truth until you realized the truth. Listen for the truth from THE TRUTH. Yes, Holy Spirit does guide. Yes God has a plan for you. Listen, watch. Enjoy this day of truth and service. Happy Martin Luther King Day! enough for now.

Stand

Why on earth? Why do we get so upset and distracted by the ramblings of anyone? Oh, I encourage you this week to shift your focus. You see, you are so much more than what you see. You have become so bogged down with the silliness of society and have believed its lies. No, it does not have to be done- this minutes. No- you are not lost. No, it is not over. You are more than a conqueror. You have been distracted. Shift your focus. 

"Why do the nations conspire and the people's plot in vain?" (Ps. 2:1 NIV) Do not be confused. God cares and loves you. And God has purposed you. It is not to cause you to shrink in fear, but to stand -knowing who you are. 

Do not be distracted. Do not fear. Do not worry. Yes, get directions from Holy Spirit. And trust God, not man. enough for now.

"Being Belongs to God"

Stop! Everything is moving too fast. It is already ten days into this year. How is it for you?

It is really "Godlike" for me. I was told to 'be still' a few times and finally got still. Yeah, every so often God has me to just get still. The thing about it was - in the stillness I saw so much more. I witnessed healings for others, recognized hope for me. Now, that is not a new thing. So why must I wait for God to say 'be still'? Hmm, glad you asked. I think it is an old pattern (to break) that I must be doing something. If I'm not doing something, then I am non-productive.

You have heard that too- haven't you? But you see- in the stillness God reveals, God heals, and we have peace. So can you see the "Godlike"? Only God can produce in absolute stillness. I suppose that is a part of our 'being' and not 'doing'. 'Being' belongs to God, 'doing' belongs to us.

The crazy part is that I know what God can do, yet I fall into that pattern of busyness, trying to get 'it' done- whatever the 'it' is. Aww, but 'being' belongs to God, 'doing' belongs to us. Come on, how do we think that we have it all? know it all? We do not.

I offer to trust what you hear from God in the stillness, to be still, and then to wait. Happy Anew Year. Your a-new-ness, your awareness, your healing. Let's go. enough for now.

Get Still

There are times when we really need to just get still. How hard is that for you? It takes great effort for me, but I am learning to heed Holy Spirit- and get still. There is something peaceful in following Holy Spirit's guide. What are you hearing? What is God saying? Listen, be still and listen. enough for now.

Look Up

Look up, not down. Look out and then in, not in and then out. Look toward what is for you; not down in defeat. Look out to assist others and then recognize how you are changing positively. Listen, and then follow Holy Spirit's guide for you. Don't get caught up in what others are or are not doing. You are important. You are more valued than you know. Learn how to walk in your worth. enough for now.

TODAY

TODAY. This is first day of the rest of your life. Yesterday does not count. Yes, it may influence the outcome of today and tomorrow; but it is done. Move on. Whatever you did not get right yesterday you have today. Walk a different way. Hear more intently. Follow more closely. It is your right to your peace, your rest. This day you can walk stronger, more confident, trusting in what has been promised to you. Leave yesterday behind and walk in TODAY.

"Therefore God again set a certain day, calling it Today, when a long time later he spoke through David, as was said before: 'Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts'" (Heb.4:7 NIV).
